A Letter from Dr. Sassy: An Invite to the 90-Day Digital Wellness Journey

Dear Families,
If you’re anything like the families I work with every day, you’re feeling it—that tug in your heart that something just isn’t quite right. Maybe your kids seem anxious, disconnected, or just plain irritable. Maybe your home doesn’t feel as warm and connected as you want it to be. Maybe you, too, are burned out, over-scrolling, and missing that spark you used to have.
I get it. I’ve been there too.
My name is Dr. Stacy Jagger, but most people know me as Dr. Sassy—a therapist, author, mama of four, and champion for families who want something more. Not more screen time. Not more stuff. More love. More laughter. More creativity. More connection.
And I’ve devoted my life to helping families get that “more.”
You may not know this, but in my twenties, I lived in a cabin with no electricity—just me, the stars, and a guitar. That experience shaped me. It healed me. It taught me that when we unplug from the noise, we tap into something deeper. Something ancient and alive. Something that children are starving for in our fast-paced, screen-saturated world.
That’s why I created The 90-Day Digital Wellness Challenge—a transformative journey designed to help families take a breath, reconnect with one another, and rediscover the beauty of life off-screen. It’s not about shame or strict rules. It’s about real-life healing. It’s about play. Creativity. Fireflies. Conversations around the dinner table. Saturday morning pancake dances. Building a fort in the living room. Taking a hike without TikTok in your pocket.
It’s about getting back to what really matters.
As a family therapist, I’ve witnessed the painful effects of chronic screen overuse—meltdowns, sibling fights, marital disconnection, sleep struggles, and more. But I’ve also witnessed something else: the power of reconnection. When a family says yes to this challenge, they come alive again. They laugh more. Hug more. Argue less. Children start sleeping better. They become more confident, expressive, creative. Parents fall in love again—with their children and each other.
This is my life’s work—not just because I’m a therapist, but because I’m a mother, a daughter, a woman who still believes in wonder. I’ve seen firsthand how healing can happen when we step away from the glow of our devices and back into the glow of each other.
